Drymen & Around

In Drymen there is a village store selling gifts, papers, milk etc. gift shops, delicatessen, fashions, doctors, dentist, library, pharmacy, Skoosh café and a Spar shop inc. a post office counter. The nearby village of Balfron has a good Indian restaurant who will deliver an evening meal to Shandon Farmhouse.

There are several evening meal options in Drymen including The Clachan Inn, recognised as the oldest pub in Scotland, The Drymen Inn and The Winnock Hotel. Dogs are welcome at The Clachan Inn (just the bar area), and the Drymen Inn.

Stirling is about 30mins away by car. Attractions include Stirling castle and The Wallace monument. The Battle of Bannockburn Centre is near Stirling town and well worth a visit

Glasgow is approx. 40mins by car and apart from the amazing and varied shopping experience (rated as one of the best in the UK) other attractions include the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Botanical Gardens, the Burrell Collection, Glasgow Science Collection and Glasgow Cathedral
