Shandon farm is 15-20 minutes walk north out of Drymen village, with views of The Trossachs and Loch Lomond to the west and The Campsies and Queens View to the south. Ideal for your first stopover after completing the first section of The West Highland Way or beginning The Rob Roy Way.
Shandon is a working farm with 130 native British Beef Shorthorn cattle. The current farmhouse was re-built in 1986 and has just undergone a complete renovation (completed April 2015). It is double glazed and centrally heated throughout.
As you come into Drymen, either on foot or by car, with the Clachan Inn on your left go straight up Old Gartmore Road for approx. 1/2 mile and we are the first farm on the right. If you're driving take care as there are 6 very large speed bumps from the Clachan Inn up past the school.
